West Yorkshire Police is seeking a Resource Planning Unit Tasking Researcher to join the ANPR office at Wakefield. You will develop intelligence to support Road Policing Teams and help remove illegal drivers from the roads, contributing to the Fatal 5 and Vision Zero strategies.
The role requires research-focused work, strong literacy with MS Office, and the ability to maintain up-to-date intelligence products while collaborating with others in a fast-paced environment.
Operational Support, Wakefield Headquarters
One full-time police staff post on shifts of consisting of 37hrs (weekly) with 14% shift allowance and weekend working.
The shifts consists of 3 earlies - 0800 x 1600hrs, 3 lates - 1600 x 0100hrs and then 3 rest days.
The Role:
As the RPU Tasking researcher you will be working within the ANPR office, joining a high performing team, developing intelligence to provide Road Policing Teams with the necessary information for them to be able to take illegal drivers off the road and support the Force's Fatal 5 and Vision Zero strategies - preventing death and serious injuries to road users in West Yorkshire.
Working within the ANPR office is demanding at times and requires commitment and enthusiasm to support and lead on intelligence lead Policing. The ANPR systems and capabilities are advanced and recognised as such nationally - you will be working with the latest in technology and capabilities.
