Job summary

A-One Direct Recruitment Limited is seeking X6 Class 1 Drivers for our client based in Sittingbourne & Maidstone. The role involves refrigerated distribution to RDCs and farms, with shifts averaging 10–12 hours and a seven-day rota.

It is predominantly a driving role with minimal load handling and requires a valid Class 1 licence, CPC and tachograph cards. Immediate starts are available, with day, night, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Full Class 1 Driving licence with at least 1 year experience.
• Valid Digital Tachograph and CPC card.
• No more than 6 points or with endorsement codes (DD/DR).
• Good roadcraft and geographical knowledge; compliance with LGV rules.

Responsibilities

• Refrigerated distribution to RDCs and farms.

Job description

Our client based in Sittingbourne & Maidstone are currently looking for X6 Class 1 Drivers.

The role will entail:

• Refrigerated distribution across a variety of locations.
• Delivering to RDCs and collections to and from farms.
• The shifts are on average 10 to 12 hours long.
• Some flexibility for start times as they may vairy.
• Mainly a driving role with minimal handling of the load.

A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Full Class 1 Driving licence (minimum of 1 year Class 1 experience).
• Valid Digital Tachograph and CPC card.
• No more than 6 points or have the following endorsement codes showing (DD or DR).
• Compliant to all rules and regulations within LGV driving.
• Good roadcraft/ Geographical knowledge.

Shifts are available over a seven day period Sunday to Saturday with the following shifts bands:

• Morning start times 01.00 - 11.00 hours
• Afternoon start times 12.00 18.00 hours.
• Night shift start times 19.00+ hours to midnight

Our client offers long term work and has regular full or part time hours to suit.

All candidates are required to pass our clients assessment prior to commencing which includes a written and practical driving test. (2-3-hour assessments are being held between Monday to Friday on days/ nights)

Pay Rates:

• Days - £17.12 p.h. Monday to Friday.
• Nights - £18.25 p.h. Monday to Friday.
• Saturday Day £20.50 p.h./ Night £21.22 p.h.
• Sunday + Bank Holiday Day £24.21 p.h./ Nights £26.52 p.h.

New Drivers to the industry with at least 1 year Class 1 experience are welcome to apply.
