Job summary

Rapiscan Systems in the United Kingdom is seeking a technically capable technician to support vacuum bake-out of X-ray tubes, diagnose leaks, and assist in high voltage conditioning and testing within a hi-tech manufacturing environment.

You will document data in Excel, follow COSHH and safety procedures, and help maintain equipment and test rigs. ONC/HND or equivalent technical background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in hi-tech manufacturing, lab, or R&D environments.
• Technical qualifications to ONC/HND level or equivalent.
• Familiarity with safe working practices and COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Assist vacuum bake-out of X-ray tubes and diagnose leaks.
• Post bake-out activation, apply lead plates and set up tests.
• Perform HV conditioning and testing of X-ray tubes.
• Support wiring loom builds for vacuum equipment.
• Record data accurately using Excel and other tools.
• Operate plant and test rigs with HMIs and cranes as needed.
• Contribute to process improvements and safe working practices.
• Raise NCRs and ensure compliance with COSHH regulations.
