Job description

Provide support for the stadium operations team by ensuring building security, signing in Contractors/visitors, locking up buildings, securing the players entrance and car park at set times. Liaising with visitors and matchday cleaning team. Supervising outside contractors were necessary.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Access Control : Monitor and manage access points to ensure only authorised personnel enter restricted areas (e.g., players’ tunnel, control room, hospitality zones).
  • Building Lock-Up and Patrols : Secure the stadium before and after events, including locking/unlocking gates, doors, and sensitive areas.
  • Surveillance Monitoring : Operate and monitor CCTV systems to detect suspicious activity or breaches.
  • Incident Response : Act as a first responder to security incidents, disturbances, or emergencies, and coordinate with emergency services if needed.
  • Contractor and Visitor Management : Sign in/out contractors and visitors, verify credentials, and ensure they follow safety protocols.
  • Liaison Role : Communicate with cleaning teams, maintenance staff, and external contractors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Matchday Duties : Support the matchday safety team by assisting with crowd control, monitoring fan behaviour, and responding to incidents.
  • Equipment Checks : Ensure radios, bodycams etc, and other security equipment are operational and distributed appropriately.
  • Log Keeping : Maintain accurate records of incidents, visitor logs, and contractor activities.
  • Policy Adherence : Ensure compliance with club policies, safeguarding procedures, and health & safety regulations.
  • Briefings and Reports : Participate in pre-event briefings and post-event debriefs, contributing to safety and security reports.

    About The Candidate

    EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

    • ValidSecurity Industry Authority (SIA) licence(e.g., Door Supervisor or Security Guard).
    • Experience in asecurity or facilities management role, ideally within a stadium, sports venue, or large public venue.
    • Strong understanding ofbuilding security protocols,access control, andincident response procedures.
    • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with contractors, staff, and visitors.
    • Basic IT literacy for logging incidents and managing visitor/contractor records.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
    • Commitment tosafeguarding,equality, andhealth and safetypractices.
    • First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid qualification (desirable).
    • Experience supervising or coordinatingcontractors or cleaning teams (desirable).
    • Familiarity withCCTV monitoring systemsandradio communication protocols (desirable).
