Job summary

The Supply Register is recruiting on behalf of Rugeley John Taylor School for a Wraparound Play Worker (Level 2) to join their dedicated team in Rugeley.

You will support a small group of children before and after school, helping to create a safe, welcoming environment where children can learn, play and thrive. The role runs Monday to Friday, mornings 7:30-9:00 and afternoons 3:00-6:00, 22.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 2 qualification in Childcare, Playwork or Early Years.
• Experience working with children in a childcare, education or play setting.
• Positive, reliable and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities.
• Help supervise children during breakfast and after-school sessions.
• Encourage positive behaviour and social development.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Follow all safeguarding, welfare and health & safety procedures.
