Job summary

Southbroom St James Academy is seeking a dedicated Wraparound Care Manager to lead our before and after-school provision in Devizes. You will create a safe, engaging environment for children to relax, play and thrive beyond the school day, working with families and staff to deliver a high-quality service.

We value strong organisation, safeguarding expertise and the ability to inspire and develop a small team, ensuring smooth bookings, attendance and compliance with health and safety standards

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged children.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and child protection principles.
• Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Experience in managing childcare, extended services or out-of-school provision (desirable).
• Willingness to work towards a relevant childcare qualification (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of the wraparound care provision.
• Ensure high standards of safeguarding, welfare and behaviour management.
• Plan and deliver a varied programme of activities for children.
• Manage bookings, registers and communication with parents.
• Lead, support and develop wraparound care staff.
• Monitor attendance, staff and finances to keep the provision sustainable.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and caring Wraparound Care Manager to lead and develop our before and after-school provision. The Role

As Wraparound Care Manager, you will:

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the school's wraparound care provision.
• Ensure high standards of safeguarding, welfare and behaviour management.
• Plan and deliver a varied programme of activities that children enjoy and look forward to attending.
• Manage bookings, registers and communication with parents.
• Lead, support and develop wraparound care staff.
• Monitor attendance, staff and finances to help ensure the provision remains sustainable and responsive to family needs.
• Work closely with school leaders to develop the service in line with parental demand and the school's vision.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, food hygiene and safeguarding requirements.

• Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

• Has experience of managing childcare, extended services or out-of-school provision (desirable).
• Holds or is willing to work towards a relevant childcare qualification (desirable).
