Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group requires a Commissioning Engineer to lead and execute the commissioning of gas turbine packages at factory and customer sites worldwide. The role includes electrical/mechanical testing, documentation, and coordinating with multiple teams.

Based at Newton Abbot, UK, with extensive overseas travel to client sites. You will validate equipment against customer specs, develop commissioning schedules, and ensure health and safety compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in testing and commissioning gas turbine packages and industrial machinery.
• Multidisciplinary engineer with engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings with fault-finding abilities.
• PLC control code understanding (RSLogix preferred) and SCADA knowledge (Wonderware).
• Knowledge of generator protection and health and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise commissioning activities at factory and client sites worldwide.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical testing, validating equipment to customer specs.
• Travel extensively to global client sites to commission products onsite.
• Prepare and follow detailed commissioning schedules and programmes.
• Document commissioning data and report results to stakeholders.
• Oversee onsite sub-contractors to meet quality and deadlines.
