Are you an experienced Commissioning Engineer, Gas Turbine Engineer, Generator Engineer, Field Service Engineer or Power Generation Engineer looking for a technically challenging role with extensive international exposure?
We are recruiting for a Commissioning Engineer to join an established specialist in gas turbine generator sets and power generation equipment.
This is a hands‑on, multi‑disciplinary engineering position involving the electrical and mechanical commissioning, testing, fault finding and performance validation of gas turbine packages and associated generator equipment.
The role is based in Newton Abbot when not travelling, with extensive overseas travel to customer sites to commission and hand over equipment.
We are particularly interested in engineers with experience in gas turbines, generator sets, power generation, CHP, rotating equipment or industrial energy systems.
You may currently be working as a: Commissioning Engineer, Gas Turbine Commissioning Engineer, Gas Turbine Engineer, Generator Commissioning Engineer, Generator Engineer, Gas Turbine Field Service Engineer, Electrical Commissioning Engineer, Controls & Commissioning Engineer, Service Engineer, Turbine Engineer, Rotating Equipment Engineer and Commissioning Technician
Experience or knowledge in the following would be highly advantageous:
An HNC, HND or degree in an engineering discipline would be advantageous, although equivalent practical engineering and commissioning experience will also be considered.
A multi‑disciplinary engineering background, particularly across electrical, mechanical, controls or power generation, would be well suited to the role.
Hands‑on commissioning of gas turbine generator sets.
Extensive international travel and customer‑site exposure.
Electrical, mechanical and controls engineering.
Work with PLC, SCADA and generator protection systems.
Exposure to rotating equipment, vibration and turbine performance testing.
Opportunity to take responsibility for commissioning projects and site activities.
