WorkWell Coach
Location: Woking
Salary: A£25,835 - A£27,075 inclusive per annum
Hours: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week
We are looking for a candidate with a QCF in Advice & Guidance (Level 3) or equivalent, who can work effectively within policies and procedures including confidentiality, safeguarding, lone working, information governance, and health and safety. WorkWell is a new government/DWP initiative aimed at supporting people back to work, addressing physical and mental health needs through a multidisciplinary team including a Mental Health Provider and Physical Health Advisor. The pilot in Surrey started in December and focuses on empowering individuals to manage their health, wellbeing, and employment challenges via referral to a WorkWell Coach.
Your role will involve working within the primary care network (PCN) and community hubs to create a supportive environment. You will help individuals identify their health and wellbeing concerns and understand how these impact their employment. Using a strengths-based approach, you will develop personalized support plans focusing on 'what matters to me' and work alongside a team of physical activity, mental health, and employment advisors to provide interventions and connect individuals to community support, promoting long-term health and employment stability.
Key skills include motivational coaching, interview skills, organization, planning, and a proactive, flexible attitude. Familiarity with office IT systems, good word processing skills, and the ability to use email and the internet for planning and reporting are essential. The role requires empathy, active listening, and the ability to support people from diverse backgrounds in a person-centered, non-judgemental manner. A commitment to reducing health inequalities and building trust and confidence is crucial.
This hybrid role involves community and home-based work, with occasional office visits. A valid driver's license and access to a car are essential.
