Job summary

Bowmay Consulting Ltd is seeking a Workwear Designer with 3D design experience in Preston. You will turn concepts into practical, tested garments, ranging from workwear trousers to PPE, balancing appearance with durability and cost.

You will use 3D tools like Style 3D, produce CADs and technical packs, and collaborate across teams to ensure garments meet technical and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience designing garments within workwear, uniforms, outdoor or performance clothing.
• Hands-on experience using 3D design software, including Style 3D.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction and manufacturing processes.
• Experience producing technical packs, CAD drawings and production specifications.
• Confidence using Adobe Illustrator and other design tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a range of workwear from trousers to jackets and PPE.
• Use 3D design tools to bring concepts to life and support product development.
• Create technical packs, CAD drawings and garment specifications for production.
• Research trends and sustainable design options for new materials.
• Collaborate with customers, sales team and garment technologists to meet real-world needs.
• Prepare concepts, mood boards and product proposals to visualise ideas.
