Job summary

Routes To Work Limited in Glasgow invites applications for a Workshop Operative. The role splits time between warehouse duties and the manufacturing workshop, offering variety and hands-on experience in a growing door manufacturing business.

You will handle picking, packing, goods in/out, measuring and assembling components to customer specifications, with forklift operation training provided. Probation covers £13/hr, rising to £14/hr after six months.

Qualifications

• Experience using measuring equipment.
• Ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable with a positive work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and in a small team.
• Experience in workshop/manufacturing/engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack customer orders accurately.
• Load and unload deliveries.
• Maintain stock accuracy and organise the warehouse.
• Assist with goods in/out processes.
• Operate a forklift (training provided).
• Manufacture products per drawings and specs.
• Measure, cut and assemble components.
• Produce panels, springs and other bespoke parts.
• Maintain a safe, tidy work area.
• Follow production drawings and customer requirements.
