Job summary

Staffline is recruiting Warehouse Operatives for a busy distribution centre in East Kilbride, Glasgow. The role involves picking items for store orders, working in a chilled environment, and using handheld scanners. Full training is provided.

The shift is 2pm–11pm, five days out of seven, with physical duties including heavy lifting. Overtime is available. Applicants must be over 18 and able to pass a drug test. On-site parking and PPE are provided.

Qualifications

• Able to work in a chilled environment (2C–8C) and lift heavy items.
• No previous experience required; full training provided.

Job description

Warehouse Operatives in East Kilbride, Glasgow.

Warehouse Operative for our client's busy distribution center for a leading supermarket, where orders are constructed for distribution to the stores.

The rate of pay is:

First 12 weeks:

• - 6am - 6pm £14.09 per hour
• - 6pm - 6am £16.76 per hour
• Overtime is available and paid at £18.88 - £21.51 per hour

After 12 weeks

• - 6am- 6pm £15.89 per hour
• - 6pm - 6am £18.56 per hour
• Overtime is available and paid at £21.19 - £24.74 per hour.

Applicants must be over the age of 18.

This is a full-time role working

5 out of 7, and the hours of work are:

• - 2pm to 11pm

Although the

regular shift time is 2pm to 11pm

you will need to attend:

Excellent Temp to Perm opportunities.

Please note that due to the full-time hours, this role is not suitable for part-time or student applicants.

Our Time at Work

As a Warehouse Order Picker at this site, your duties will include:

• Working in a busy environment picking various products
• Working in a chilled environment with temperatures ranging from 2C - 8C
• Operating manual handling equipment in order to pick items for orders
• Using a hand held scanner to pick the items
• Working to targets set out for you by your supervisor
• Heavy lifting is required, constant lifting and bending so a good level of physical fitness is required.

This role is physically demanding in a fast-paced environment. Candidates are required to be capable of lifting heavy items and working within a chilled environment.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker has a keen eye for detail and works with accuracy to ensure that they are always selecting the best items for orders. You will be able to follow instructions and have great communication skills (good understanding of English, both verbal and written.)

You are required to pass the Drug & Alcohol test and your own transport would be beneficial due to the location of the warehouse.

Applicants must be able to handle pork and alcohol products.

No previous experience is necessary as a Production Operative/Warehouse Operative as full training is provided.
