Job summary

BAUER Maschinen GmbH, represented in the UK by BAUER Equipment UK, is seeking a workshop-based technician to join our growing team in the United Kingdom. The role involves commissioning, fault finding, repairs, rigging and maintenance of BAUER equipment on site, at customer premises, or in our Rotherham workshop.

Ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of mobile hydraulics and electrics, hold a CSCS card, and be capable of producing technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of modern mobile hydraulics and electrics/electronics.
• Good literacy and IT skills; able to read and produce technical documents.
• Customer-focused attitude and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning, fault finding, repairs, rigging/de-rigging and maintenance of BAUER equipment on site, at customer premises or in the workshop in Rotherham.
• Liaise with customer service staff to rectify faults on site or by phone.
• Provide feedback to BAUER After-Sales Team and assist with fault rectification.
• Inspect, repair and overhaul heavy gearboxes and produce complex reports.
