Job summary

Venatu Consulting Ltd is currently seeking a Workshop Technician to maintain and repair mobile cranes and plant equipment in a busy South Yorkshire workshop. The role focuses on servicing, refurbishments, and providing high-quality repairs to ensure reliable equipment for customers.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge, with background in plant, HGV, or PSV maintenance. Training and progression opportunities are available in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Background in plant, HGV, or PSV maintenance.
• Mobile crane experience is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret complex schematics.
• Proactive attitude with willingness to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repairs to mobile cranes on both a commercial and warranty basis.
• Support the refurbishment of plant and crane equipment within a busy commercial workshop.
• Liaise with customers to agree required works, action points, and expected timeframes.
• Work closely with suppliers to order parts and maintain inventory.
• Collaborate with the service team to ensure all tasks are completed in priority order and to high standards.
