Job summary

PE Global is recruiting for a Workshop Technician on behalf of a leading global manufacturing and technology organisation. Location is Nuneaton, Warwickshire, where you will support the Automotive Aftermarket Training Centre with hands-on workshop tasks and facilities support.

Your duties include preparing vehicles and testing panels, assisting with new product testing, managing workshop stock and chemicals, maintaining safe systems of work and delivering practical training to customers,

Qualifications

  • Experience with vehicle preparation, repair or related activities.
  • Experience delivering practical training.
  • Basic to intermediate IT skills.
  • Good organizational skills for stock, equipment and materials.
  • Awareness of workplace health and safety requirements.
  • COSHH knowledge advantageous.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Positive can-do attitude across duties.

Responsibilities

  • Manage workshop stock control and organize storage.
  • Prepare vehicles and testing panels for Application Engineers.
  • Assist with new product testing activities including vehicle masking and paint application.
  • Deliver training on vehicle repair solutions to partners, end-users and internal teams.
  • Monitor and control chemicals on site and complete COSHH assessments.
  • Validate and update safe systems of work for equipment.
  • Welcome visitors and provide professional first contact.
  • Collaborate with different teams and maintain a safe, organised workshop.

Job description

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Workshop Technician on behalf of a leading global manufacturing and technology organisation.

Location: Nuneaton, Warwickshire

Rate: £15.06 per hour PAYE (37.5 hours per week)

About the Role

The Workshop Technician will support the organisation's Automotive Aftermarket Training Centre in Nuneaton, providing hands‑on technical, workshop and facilities support across a variety of activities.

The role will involve preparing vehicles and testing panels, supporting new product testing, managing workshop stock and chemicals, maintaining safe systems of work, and assisting with the delivery of technical training to customers, partners and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage workshop stock control, including placing orders, organising product storage and coordinating deliveries.
  • Prepare vehicles and testing panels for use by Application Engineers.
  • Complete and assist with new product testing activities, including:
  • Vehicle masking
  • Paint application
  • Assist with delivering training on vehicle repair solutions to channel partners, end‑user customers/bodyshops and internal sales teams.
  • Monitor and control chemicals on site, including completing COSHH assessments.
  • Validate and update safe systems of work for various types of equipment, including sanders and grinders.
  • Welcome visitors to the training centre and provide a professional first point of contact.
  • Work collaboratively with different teams, customer groups and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain a safe, organised and efficient workshop and training environment.
Requirements:
  • Previous vehicle repair experience or experience
  • Hands‑on experience with vehicle preparation, repair, paint application or related activities.
  • Previous training experience or confidence supporting/delivering practical training.
  • Basic to intermediate IT skills.
  • Good organisational skills, particularly around stock, equipment and materials.
  • An awareness of workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Experience or understanding of COSHH would be advantageous.
  • The ability to work confidently with different groups and types of people.
  • A positive can‑do attitude and willingness to get involved across a variety of duties.
