Job summary

Motorpoint in Sheffield is hiring a Workshop Supervisor to lead and develop the workshop team, oversee vehicle preparation and quality control, and drive efficient operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will coach staff, manage workloads, ensure safety procedures, and coordinate with sales and subcontractors. A Level 2 motor trade qualification and a full UK driving licence are essential, with EV training supported where needed.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence essential.
• Minimum Level 2 motor trade qualification with mechanical knowledge.
• EV qualification desirable with training provided.
• Experience supervising a workshop/warehouse and managing people.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot issues during inspections.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation operations and team to ready vehicles for site display and customer collection.
• Coach, lead and develop the workshop team.
• Ensure issues with price boards or preparation are identified during the Buyer's pitch visit.
• Allocate work to individuals and maintain productivity while ensuring quality.
• Maintain administrative procedures and filing of relevant documents.
• Work with subcontractors on site and maintain good relationships.
• Assist line manager with workshop management duties.
• Liaise with sales team and assist where necessary.
• Comply with health and safety policies and safe work instructions.
• Assist with PDI inspections and repair vehicles as part of the workshop team.
• Hold a full UK driving licence; support site travel as needed.
