Wallace Hind Selection requires a Hybrid Workshop Engineer / Field Service Engineer for a packaging machinery maker serving the food industry. Initially based in the workshop, you will train to become a field engineer with a 50/50 split across UK sites.
You must be a qualified multi-skilled Electrical/Electronic Engineer with an apprenticeship. Overtime and travel are involved, with a company car provided and commutable to the Heathrow area.

Home based but you MUST be commutable to the companies UK office near Heathrow airport, as you will be office based.
After training you will be office based 50% & field based 50%, covering the UK.

After you have completed your training, this role will become a hybrid Workshop Engineer / Field Service Engineer role, with a 50 / 50 split of your time.
As a Workshop Engineer, you will be working on machines pre-installation in the workshop at the companies office and after training as a Field Service Engineer you will be required to work on client sites and will be responsible for installation, commissioning, repair and refurbishment of machines on sites across the whole UK.
Overtime is paid door to door and you can expect to travel and stay away from home 1 to 2 nights per week and to be available to work weekends twice a month if required.
