Mactech Europe Ltd is currently looking to recruit a Workshop / Offshore Technician on a permanent basis based in Aberdeen, UK.

What we do

Mactech Europe was established in 1995 to sell or rent pipe cutting and end preparation equipment. Since then, Mactech Europe has grown to become recognized as a leading specialist provider of the world’s foremost portable precision machinery and diamond wire cutting systems.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the safe operation of all equipment at the worksite in accordance with QHSE policies and procedures.
2. Operate Mactech Europe Ltd equipment offshore or onshore, independently or under supervision.
3. Perform operation, function testing, maintenance activities, or repairs as per project requirements or instructions.
4. Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out at planned intervals and to a high standard.
5. Document and report all maintenance, repairs, overhauls, adjustments, and inspections accurately.
6. Complete project-related paperwork promptly, including maintenance reports, project reports, cutting logs, timesheets, expenses, and damage reports.
7. Participate in pre- and post-job review meetings and ensure risk assessments are completed and reviewed.
8. Undertake internal and external training to develop skills and experience.

Qualifications/Experience

• HNC /HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (desirable).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in operation, repair, maintenance, and testing of mechanical/hydraulic equipment.
• Experience with subsea and cutting tools (desirable).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate and test industrial portable machining equipment (desirable).
