Job summary

JMC Aviation Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Workshop Mechanic/Technician to join our hands-on workshop team in Surry. This permanent, Monday–Friday position involves stripping, inspecting, repairing, rebuilding and testing aircraft cabin and interior components, with occasional airside work.

You will follow manuals and data, record work accurately, and support the wider workshop team to meet customer turnaround times.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering with aviation experience preferred.
• Good practical mechanical skills and ability to read technical data.
• Reliable, organized and a good team player.
• Flexible across business units as needed.
• Right to work in the UK and DBS clearance eligibility.

A hands-on role in our workshop stripping, inspecting, repairing, rebuilding and testing aircraft cabin and interior components. This is a workshop-based role, with some airside work from time to time.

• Strip, clean, inspect and rebuild aircraft cabin and interior components
• Carry out repairs in accordance with the relevant manuals and approved data
• Record work accurately and complete work cards and paperwork
• Support the wider workshop team and help keep customer turnaround times on track
• Follow workshop health, safety and quality procedures
• Carry out airside work from time to time

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in engineering, with aviation experience an advantage
• Good practical skills and the ability to follow technical data
• Reliable, organised and a good team player
• Flexibility is key: you will be flexible across the business and work across our different business units as needed
• Right to work in the UK
• Able to obtain and maintain DBS clearance and the airport security vetting needed for airside access
