Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Manager to join our Volkswagen Dealership in Stratford-upon-Avon. The role involves managing a busy workshop that services Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Commercial Vehicles, and a large internal retail and fleet operation. Responsibilities include overseeing equipment calibrations, health and safety, technician reviews, workshop meetings, and preparing for the Annual Franchise Audit.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the workflow of all jobs to brand standards.
  2. Lead and motivate a team of Technicians to ensure efficient workshop operations.
  3. Provide focused management to deliver an excellent customer experience.
  4. Ensure adherence to processes and conduct regular reviews with the Aftersales Manager.
  5. Achieve KPI targets by managing workshop performance.
  6. Plan and allocate workshop resources effectively.
  7. Support the department team to complete work on time and to specification.
  8. Assist with complex jobs, ensuring customer approval prior to work commencement.
  9. Oversee the handover process for complex or contentious jobs to ensure customer buy-in.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has experience within a dealership as a Trainee Workshop Controller, Workshop Foreman, or Workshop Controller, and is seeking further career progression. They should possess confidence, resilience, drive, and a professional attitude.
