Why Work for Us?

You’ll manage a varied fleet of vans, LCVs and HGVs, making this particularly attractive for someone who already understands the demands of the commercial vehicle sector.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day operation of a busy van, LCV and HGV workshop
  • Leading, supporting and developing a team of commercial Vehicle Technicians
  • Planning and allocating workshop workloads effectively
  • Coordinating servicing, maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs
  • Monitoring productivity, efficiency and workshop KPIs
  • Managing vehicle downtime and maximising fleet availability
  • Ensuring vans and HGVs are maintained to the required standards
  • Ensuring appropriate vehicle maintenance and compliance procedures are followed
  • Supporting Technicians with technical issues and escalating where necessary
  • Monitoring jobs from initial booking through to completion
  • Ensuring accurate workshop and maintenance records are maintained
  • Managing workshop health and safety
  • Supporting recruitment, training, performance management and development
  • Liaising with internal departments, suppliers and other stakeholders
  • Driving continuous improvement across workshop processes and performance

This is an off-the-tools position. Your responsibility will be managing the workshop, vehicles, workload and technical team rather than routinely carrying out repairs yourself.
