Job summary

GAP Group Limited is seeking a Depot Workshop Manager to supervise our Survey & Safety workshop facilities and advise the General Manager on best practices and procedures. You will ensure inspected, tested, maintained and calibrated equipment is ready for hire.

You will also help develop and train staff to deliver high performance and exceptional service across nationwide divisions. This role requires leadership in a busy, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in a similar role within the survey/hire industry.
• Understanding of survey equipment, hire products and customer base is advantageous for Falkirk area.
• Ability to lead and develop a high-performing team delivering results and customer satisfaction.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving in a workshop setting.
• Proficient with MS Office packages including Excel and Word.

Our nationwide Survey and Safety division hire a comprehensive range of equipment including construction levels and lasers, total stations, GPS, cable detection equipment, GPR, ATEX lighting, gas detection, communication equipment and much more to all sectors including the construction, civil, utilities, rail, shop fitting, fit out and infrastructure sectors.

As the Depot Workshop Manager at GAP Group you will oversee the Survey & Safety workshop facilities and advise the General Manager on best practice and procedures required. This is vital in ensuring we Inspect/test/maintain and calibrate all equipment to the manufacturers specification and ensuring equipment is ready for hire. You will also assist the General Manager with staff development and training.

About You

• Significant experience in a similar role within the survey/hire industry is essential.
• An understanding of Survey equipment, hire products and the customer base within the Falkirk area would be highly beneficial
• The ability to lead and develop a high performing team who can deliver results and exceed customer expectations
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and overcome potential challenges within the workplace
• Proficient in MS Office packages including Excel and Word
