Job description

Position: Workshop Joiner

Cabcon, a sister company of CRS NI, manufactures modular cabins and is on the lookout for a keen and driven joiner. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly of all cabins.

Role description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Workshop Joiner located in Carrickmore.

  1. Be required to work on your own and using your own initiative, with help available when needed.
  2. Complete first fix carpentry to prepare for cabin walls/roof panel studwork by following technical drawings.
  3. Insulate and prepare the walls in preparation for vacuum press.
  4. Complete the erection of the cabin by following the drawings provided.
  5. Install windows and doors.
  6. Complete the flashing of the corners leaving a tidy and presentable finish.
  7. May be asked to assist with other mechanical assembly work.
  8. Must keep a clean and tidy workshop.
  9. Driving forklifts and using overhead gantries.

Requirements

  1. Relevant joinery qualification preferred but not essential.
  2. First fix joinery experience.
  3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  4. Have your own tools preferred.
  5. Basic maths skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.

*Pay will be determined by relevant experience.*
