Job summary

Turners (Soham) Ltd is recruiting LGV Fitters to be based at our Castleford Workshop. 40 hours per week with 06:00-14:00 and 12:00-20:00 shifts, Monday to Friday, plus every other Saturday 06:00-12:00. Overtime paid thereafter.

Benefits include shift allowance, attendance allowance, and a pension scheme. You will repair and maintain a fleet of vehicles and trailers (Tank, Refrigerated, curtainside). Training and PPE are supplied; a full driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical experience is preferred but not essential.
• LGV licence preferred but not essential.
• Full driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of our fleet of vehicles and trailers.
• Work on Tank, Refrigerated and Curtainside types.
• Develop good working relationships with the team for a welcoming environment.

Turners (Soham) Ltd is the UK's largest privately owned transport Company. We are looking to recruit LGV Fitters, to be based at our Castleford Workshop.

• Working shift patterns 06:00-14:00 and 12:00-20:00 Monday to Friday and then every other Saturday 06:00-12:00. 40 hours per week guaranteed, overtime paid thereafter.

As a large and ever expanding company, Turners can take on candidates with limited experience in vehicle repairs, all we ask is you are willing and keen to learn.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include the repair and maintenance our fleet of vehicles and trailers. You would be working on a variety of trailer and vehicle types to include, Tank, Refrigerated and curtainside.

Previous mechanical experience would be preferred and an LGV 1 licence is preferred but not essential. The appropriate training and personal protective equipment will be supplied. Full driving licence essential.
