Job description

Pertemps Daventry are currently recruiting for a Workshop Fitter for an established company based in Daventry.

Working Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break. Normal hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm from Monday to Thursday, and 8:00 am to 3:30 pm on Friday.

Salary: £25,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Job Purpose:

• To carry out essential maintenance and servicing of hydraulic equipment, diagnose technical issues, and repair or replace worn parts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Inspect equipment assigned by the Workshop Foreman, ensuring thoroughness and accurate completion of job cards.
• Repair various hydraulic equipment as directed by the Workshop Foreman.
• Ensure all repairs and refurbishments are performed safely and to company standards.
• Maintain equipment to the required standards.
• Occasionally work at customer sites as part of on-site services, subject to management discretion.
• Prepare repair quotations and job cards as instructed.
• Report unsafe conditions to the Workshop Foreman for remedial action.
• Perform other reasonable tasks within your competencies as required.
• Comply with all company rules, including health, safety, quality, and environmental policies.
• Driving or deliveries may be required at the company's discretion.
• Represent the company professionally and courteously to customers.

Candidate Requirements:

• Background in engineering, technical, or mechanical work.
• Hardworking, conscientious, and capable of performing all aspects of the role.
• Ideally hold a valid driving license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Dependable and self-motivated.
