Pertemps Daventry is currently recruiting for a Workshop Fitter for an established company based in Daventry.

Job Purpose:

To carry out essential maintenance and servicing of hydraulic equipment, diagnose technical problems, and repair or replace worn parts.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Complete inspections of equipment assigned by the Workshop Foreman, ensuring thoroughness and accurate documentation.
  2. Repair various hydraulic equipment as assigned.
  3. Carry out repairs and refurbishments safely and according to company standards.
  4. Maintain equipment to the required standards.
  5. Occasionally work at customer locations as part of on-site services, subject to management discretion.
  6. Prepare repair quotations and job cards as instructed.
  7. Report unsafe conditions for remedial action.
  8. Perform other tasks within your competencies as deemed reasonable.
  9. Comply with all company rules, including health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  10. Driving and deliveries may be required at the company's discretion.
  11. Represent the company professionally and courteously to customers.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Background or experience in engineering, technical, or mechanical fields.
  • Hardworking, conscientious, and capable of performing all aspects of the role.
  • Ideally possess a valid driving license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
  • Dependable and self-motivated.
Working Hours:

39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break. Working hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm from Monday to Thursday, and 8:00 am to 3:30 pm on Friday. Plus, excellent benefits.
