Job summary

LGH is recruiting a Workshop Engineer to join our UK workshop team. You will service, examine and test a diverse fleet of lifting equipment, ensuring compliance with LOLER regulations and safety standards.

Reporting to the Service Centre Manager, you will collaborate with the hire desk and sales teams to coordinate delivery schedules, availability, and customer requests while prioritising urgent tasks and maintaining high operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• LEEA trained with Machines Manual & Powered courses.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must hold a current, clean driving license.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and Europe.
• Flexible with working hours including early starts and late finishes.
• Experience servicing lifting equipment or a similar mechanical role.

Responsibilities

• Service, examine, and test lifting equipment to LOLER standards.
• Coordinate with hire desk, sales and workshop teams for orders and availability.
• Prioritise urgent needs with the Service Centre Manager and allocate resources.
• Maintain open communication within the workshop for teamwork and improvement.
