Interaction Recruitment is recruiting for a Workshop Engineer (Forklifts / Material Handling) in Grantham, Lincolnshire. You will service, maintain, diagnose and repair forklift trucks and related equipment within a busy workshop.

Applicants should have strong mechanical engineering skills, fault-finding abilities on hydraulic and electrical systems, and experience with engines or mobile machinery. Overtime is available, with a clear progression path and in-house training.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical engineering skills.
• Good hydraulic and electrical fault‑finding ability.
• Experience working on engines and mobile machinery.
• Ability to diagnose and repair faults independently.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults.
• Carry out planned maintenance and safety inspections.
• Complete major repairs and component replacements.
• Prepare new and used equipment for customer delivery.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDIs).
• Accurately complete workshop documentation.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety.
