Job summary

Crown Lift Trucks UK is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to inspect, service and repair forklifts and related equipment. You will diagnose faults, source parts, and ensure first-fix targets while adhering to safety regulations.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, strong fault-finding abilities, and commitment to continuous development. You will work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced workshop and field environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections and safety checks per industry practice and regulations.
• Perform day-to-day service, repair and maintenance of forklifts, handling equipment and plant.

• Source parts from internal or external suppliers.
• Communicate promptly to minimise downtime and achieve first-fix targets.

Job Description

• To complete inspections and safety checks in accordance with industry practice and regulations.
• To complete day to day service, repair and maintenance of forklift trucks, handling equipment and plant.
• Complete fault finding and repairs to meet first-fix targets.
• New equipment preparation.
• Sourcing of parts from internal or external supplier.
• Communicate quickly/efficiently to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum and achieve first-fix targets.
• Work to company procedures and current Health and Safety / COSHH regulations.
• Continually seek and act upon opportunities for personal and team development.
• Carry out other duties which may or may not be related to the job, as reasonably requested by management.

To be considered for the role you will need to have knowledge of at least one of the following areas, and be able, willing and accepting of additional training to allow you to excel within Crown Lift Trucks Ltd.

Essential Skills

• Must hold full UK Driving Licence.

Vacancy Details

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday – 8 hours per day, with 30 minutes for lunch. Holidays: 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays. Pension: Company pension plan.
