Job summary

SANY Group UK is hiring a workshop engineer to support fast-growing operations in Sittingbourne. The role combines quality inspection, data handling and on-site equipment support within a small, friendly team. You will inspect machines on arrival, perform visual checks, photograph defects, update the CRM, and manage monthly stock checks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machines on arrival to verify quality and record defects.
• Carry out visual inspections, take photos, and file paperwork.
• Conduct monthly stock inspections for yard-stored machines.
• Maintain the machine inspection tracker and data entry.
• Keep machines and attachments organized and correctly located.
• Fit DataTag kits and ensure all paperwork is submitted.

Due to fast growing business in UK, currently we look for a workshop engineer to join our young and friendly team, following are details,

Key responsibilities and duties:

• Inspecting machines when they arrive in the country to ensure the equipment meets the correct quality standards and accurately recording information of defects.
• Carryout visual inspections, take photos, complete relevant paperwork and update on the CRM system,
• Carry out monthly stock inspections if machines are stored in the yard for set periods of time.
• Control the machine inspection tracker sheet.
• Keep all machines and attachments in the correct locations in a tidy manner.
• Fit DataTag kits to machines and ensure all paperwork is complete and submitted to process

Requirements for the role:

• Most importantly is an eye for detail and a customer focussed approach to quality
• Basic knowledge of Excel / Word programmes and the ability to update the inhouse CRM system
• Being able to complete paperwork accurately.
• Experience working with Heavy Plant equipment with some mechanical knowledge.
• Being able to operate excavators, Telehandlers, Wheeled loading shovels in a safe manner is desirable although training will be given.
• Demonstrated self-starter with strong initiative skills and a can-do positive attitude; the ability to work autonomously.
• Ability to work effectively in a team when required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience of carrying out risk assessments and health & safety knowledge within the workplace is desirable.
• A clean DBS check will be required due to machine DataTag security rules
