Job summary

NEOS Engineering in Sidcup is seeking an experienced Workshop Plant Fitter to service, maintain and repair a wide range of heavy plant and construction equipment in a modern workshop. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults, carry out routine servicing and complete accurate service reports.

The role offers ongoing manufacturer training, clear career progression and a supportive working environment, with a stable long-term position in a leading plant hire business.

Qualifications

• Experience working on heavy plant, construction or agricultural machinery.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent (desirable).
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair heavy plant machinery.
• Diagnose and fault-find mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues.
• Carry out routine inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
• Accurately complete service reports and job documentation.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures.

The Role

As a Workshop Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, repair and inspection of a wide range of heavy plant and construction equipment. Working within a modern workshop, you'll ensure machinery is maintained to the highest standards, helping keep customers operating efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair heavy plant machinery.
• Diagnose and fault-find mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues.

The Candidate
