Job summary

NEOS Engineering is recruiting a Workshop Plant Fitter to join their Hayes depot on a busy site. You will service, maintain, repair and inspect a wide range of heavy plant and construction equipment in a modern workshop, with ongoing manufacturer training and clear career progression.

The role requires fault-finding across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, and compliance with safety procedures. A UK driving licence is essential, with a stable long-term position offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working on heavy plant, construction or agricultural machinery.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent (desirable).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Positive attitude with willingness to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair heavy plant machinery.
• Diagnose and fault-find mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues.
• Carry out routine inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
• Accurately complete service reports and job documentation.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures.

The Role

As a Workshop Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, repair and inspection of a wide range of heavy plant and construction equipment. Working within a modern workshop, you\'ll ensure machinery is maintained to the highest standards, helping keep customers operating efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair heavy plant machinery.
• Diagnose and fault-find mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues.
• Carry out routine inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance.

The Candidate

• Experience working on heavy plant, construction or agricultural machinery.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.
