Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 or 3 or equivalent in Plant/Land Base Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 years of relevant experience within Plant/Land based mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, diagnose and resolve technical problems with equipment.
• Maintain machinery through scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
• Supervise other Workshop Engineers to ensure quality work.

Skills

NVQ level 2 or 3 in Plant/Land Base Mechanical Engineering

3 years of relevant experience in Plant/Land based mechanics

Ability to service heavy tracked plant JCB machines

Investigate & diagnose technical problems

We are looking for an experienced Workshop Engineer based at our Hemel depot. The role will be responsible for providing support to our range of machinery at the respective depot with a primary focus on keeping the machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

• Investigate, diagnose and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment
• Keeping machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections
• Completing jobs to a high standard promptly and within a given timeframe
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers
• Have the ability to work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards
• Supervising other Workshop Engineers, when required, to ensure that a high quality of work and safe working procedures are maintained

Key Skills We Are Looking For:

• NVQ level 2 or 3 or equivalent in Plant/Land Base Mechanical Engineering
• OR 3 years of relevant experience within Plant/Land based mechanics
• Ability to service a wide range of heavy tracked plant JCB machines
• Investigate & diagnose technical problems
• Interpersonal relationships/ Customer awareness/ Commercial awareness
• Efficient and flexible with the ability to work without supervision
