Job summary

AES Rewinds Ltd in Ash Vale is seeking a hands-on Workshop Engineer to join our busy engineering team. You will dismantle, diagnose, rewind and reassemble electric motors, pumps and air-handling equipment, ensuring every item meets our high standards.

We value practical mechanical and electrical skills, enjoy problem solving, and training will be provided for motor rewinding and precision mechanical work. A full clean UK driving license is required.

Job description

We are looking for a hands-on, practically minded Workshop Engineer to join our busy engineering team in Ash Vale. This role is ideal for someone with solid mechanical and electrical skills, particularly those from a facilities maintenance or equipment-repair background, who enjoys problem-solving and working with a wide variety of machinery. As part of our workshop team, you’ll be involved in dismantling, diagnosing, rewinding and reassembling electric motors, pumps and air-handling equipment, ensuring that every piece of equipment leaving our workshop meets the high standards our clients rely on.

You’ll be working with experienced engineers who take pride in their craft, giving you the opportunity to develop specialist skills in motor rewinding, fault-finding and precision mechanical work. No two days are the same - one day you may be stripping down a large industrial motor, the next you could be rebuilding a pump assembly or assisting with testing and quality checks. This is a physically active role that suits someone who enjoys practical, technical work and takes satisfaction in seeing a job through from start to finish.
