Vertu Nissan Stockton is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to join our Aftersales team. You will plan and allocate work, support Technicians, and drive workshop efficiency while maintaining high service standards.

In this pivotal role you will manage workflow, monitor productivity, ensure deadlines are met, and communicate with the Service Department to deliver outstanding customer care. A base salary of £35,000 with an OTE of £40,000 is on offer, along with excellent benefits.

• A full UK driving licence

This is a pivotal role within the dealership, responsible for driving workshop efficiency, supporting Technicians, and ensuring our customers receive exceptional levels of service.

About the Role

As Workshop Controller, you'll be at the heart of our workshop operation, ensuring work is planned, allocated, and completed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

You'll work closely with the Service team and Vehicle Technicians, coordinating workflow, managing productivity, and ensuring workshop resources are utilised effectively to maximise performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and allocating work to Vehicle Technicians
• Managing workshop loading and ensuring resources are used efficiently
• Monitoring productivity and workshop performance
• Ensuring deadlines and customer commitments are consistently met
• Supporting Technicians with technical guidance and workflow management
• Working closely with the Service Department to ensure seamless customer communication
• Maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance
• Driving efficiency and helping the workshop achieve departmental objectives

What We're Looking For

This role would suit an experienced Workshop Controller or a Senior Technician looking to take the next step into a leadership position.

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience within the motor trade
• Workshop Controller, Senior Technician, or similar workshop leadership experience
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of workshop operations
• Excellent organisational and planning skills
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
• A proven track record of delivering strong workshop performance
• A full UK driving licence
