Job summary

Creative Kitchen in Consett is seeking a friendly Workshop Assistant to support our busy programme of cooking workshops, events and parties.

You will work closely with our Workshop Leaders to set up sessions, welcome families, assist children during activities and tidy up afterwards. Hours vary across term time, weekends, school holidays and occasional weekdays, offering a flexible opportunity.

• Friendly, approachable, and confident working with children and families
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions carefully
• Positive team player with a willingness to get stuck in
• Flexible and comfortable in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Experience with children or in a customer-facing role is desirable but not essential - full training provided

Responsibilities

• Support Workshop Leaders to run sessions smoothly.
• Set up and welcome families at start of sessions.
• Assist children during activities.
• Tidy up after each event and reset space.
