Job summary

ARX Robotics in London seeks a proactive Workshop and Warehouse Supervisor to own the day‑to‑day operation of the Central London workshop and warehouse facilities, and to build systems that keep them safe, clean, secure, organised, and efficient while supporting mission delivery.

You will apply hands‑on leadership, drive inventory accuracy, manage logistics documentation, and collaborate with Technical and Mission Operations in a fast‑growing defence tech environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in industrial, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, military or a similar operational environment.
• Ability to create, implement and maintain systems, processes, standard operating procedures, or safe systems of work.
• Knowledge of UK health and safety and workplace regulations.
• Experience in inventory control, stores/materials management or supply chain roles in a similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Organise the workshop and warehouse to support technical operations and mission deployments.
• Implement systems to maintain a safe, organized and efficient working environment.
• Maintain accuracy of workshop inventory and stock segregation.
• Prepare equipment for mission deployments (charging batteries, organising, loading, cleaning, packaging).
• Clean and service kit post-deployment.
• Operate machinery including counterbalance forklifts.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance of machinery and equipment.
• Receive goods and prepare/ship goods; manage domestic deliveries with logistics partners.
• Manage logistics documentation (delivery notes, Carnets, etc).
• Move goods between ARX facilities using fleet vehicles.
• Maintain readiness of vehicle fleet (fuel, tyres, servicing, MOTs).
• Estate management of workshop/warehouse: access, security, alarms, utilities maintenance.
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness for estate and workspace.

About the Role

As Workshop and Warehouse Supervisor you will take ownership of the day-to-day operation of ARX’s Central London workshop and warehouse facilities and develop systems and processes to keep them safe, clean, secure, organised and efficient. Working hand-in-glove with the Technical and Mission Operations departments, you will be entrusted with a high degree of autonomy and ownership to create and maintain flexible, high-performing workspaces that enable ARX’s mission delivery and accelerate our rapid growth in the UK.

You will bring organisation, initiative and a ‘can-do’ attitude to a uniquely wide-ranging role spanning logistics, inventory management, supply chain, maintenance, repair and more. This is a hands-on role where you will be working with the very latest in military robotics and technology.

What You’ll Build

• Organise the workshop and warehouse facilitates in order to supercharge our technical operations and mission deployments
• Implement systems and processes to maintain a safe, organised and efficient working environment
• Take full responsibility for our workshop inventory accuracy and stock segregation
• Administrate and maintain readiness our suite of robots, kit and equipment for mission deployments (e.g. charging batteries, quarantining, organising, loading, cleaning, packaging and preparing equipment for the next mission)
• Cleaning and de-servicing kit and equipment post-deployment
• Operate machinery including counterbalance forklifts
• Maintain and ensure safety and regulatory compliance of machinery and equipment
• Receive goods in and prepare / package goods out
• Booking and coordinating domestic deliveries with our logistics partners
• Managing logistics documentation (E.g. filing delivery notes, CMRs, Carnets etc)
• Moving / driving goods between ARX facilities using our fleet vehicles
• Maintain readiness of our small logistics vehicle fleet (fuel, tyre, oil, water. Booking services & MOTs when required)
• General Estate Management of our workshop and warehouse facilities: e.g. access and security, ensuring alarm systems are working as intended, arranging for utility repairs as and when things break or require maintenance
• Last but not least, you will help to implement a high standard of estate and workspace cleanliness (Interior and Exterior)

What You Bring

• Significant experience in one or any combination of the following: industrial, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, military or a similarly operational environment
• Demonstrable ability to create, implement and maintain systems, processes, standard operating procedures, or safe systems of work
• Knowledge / understanding of UK health and safety and workplace regulations
• Demonstrable experience in inventory control, stores/materials management or supply chain management roles in a similar role or military / defence equivalent.
• Demonstrably hands‑on and pragmatic: you can operate a forklift, hitch a trailer, re‑arrange vans and operate a variety of power tools safely and without skipping a beat.
• Able to undertake manual handling tasks, including moving and loading heavy equipment, in accordance with safe working practices
• Experience operating counterbalance forklifts, with a recognised operator qualification or willingness to obtain one.
• ‘Can‑do’ attitude and collaborative team player.
• Must live in, or in close proximity to London with an ability to work on‑site daily with occasional travel (up to 15%)
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive company vehicles as required
• Good level of computer skills
• Adaptable, proactive self‑starter, comfortable with rapid change and continually evolving requirements
• Extremely organised with a meticulous attention to detail. Arranging buildings, spaces, and objects must be second nature to you.
• Basic vehicle‑maintenance knowledge and trailer towing ability are strong pluses
• Experience with Carnet documentation and international logistics including dangerous‑goods requirements is preferred
• Service leavers welcomed (the role would suit anyone with experience in a Quartermaster type role)
