Salary – Starting at £29,219 and increasing depending on skills as you progress with us + standby allowance + potential increased overtime rate for Saturday + Sunday overtime, plus the benefit of a company van for business use

Hours – Our processes operate 24/7, but the working hours for this role are generally Monday – Friday, 08.00 - 16.00. We offer flexibility on start and finish times. There is a requirement for standby and occasional weekend work, which come with their own pay rates.


Water Recycling is at the heart of our operations. We are responsible for delivering key services through our highly skilled in-house workforce. We collect and treat water used by customers, returning it to the environment via rivers and coastal outlets. Our network includes 76,000 km of sewers feeding over 1,000 water recycling centres.

Your Role

The Process Operator ensures our Water Recycling treatment processes and systems are serviced and maintained in compliance with regulations by:

Operating and maintaining assets including tanks, pumps, screens, blowers, valves, motors, flowmeters, compressors, etc.

Performing preventative and reactive servicing and maintenance such as lubrication.

Carrying out process sampling and escalating issues as needed.

Adhering to safety policies and maintaining good housekeeping.

Minimizing energy demands without compromising compliance.

This role requires working in confined spaces and at heights, with a maximum weight limit of 113 kg and completion of occupational health checks.

About you –

Background and Experience

Experience in a process environment is advantageous but not essential.

Good understanding of Health & Safety.

Full UK Manual Driving Licence required.

Technical Skills

Competent with IT systems.

Problem-solving skills, able to work independently and efficiently.

Interpersonal Skills

Excellent team player with an enthusiastic, proactive approach.

Good organizational and communication skills, reliable and flexible.
