Job Description:

Salary – Starting at £29,219 and increasing depending on skills as you progress with us, plus standby allowance, potential increased overtime rate for weekend work, and a company van for business use.

Full Time / Permanent

Hours – Our processes operate 24/7. The role generally involves Monday – Friday, 08:00 - 16:00, with flexibility. Standby and occasional weekend work are required, with additional pay.

Water Recycling is central to our operations. We manage water collection and treatment, returning it to the environment via rivers and coasts. Our network includes 76,000 km of sewers and over 1,000 water recycling centres.

Your Role

The Process Operator ensures our Water Recycling treatment systems are serviced and maintained within regulatory compliance by:

  • Operating and maintaining assets like tanks, pumps, screens, blowers, valves, motors, flowmeters, compressors, etc.
  • Performing preventative and reactive maintenance, including lubrication.
  • Sampling processes to monitor operation and escalate issues.
  • Adhering to safety policies and maintaining good housekeeping.
  • Reducing energy demands without compromising compliance.
  • Working in confined spaces and at heights, with a maximum weight limit of 113 kg, and completing health checks.

About you –

Background and Experience

Experience in a process environment is advantageous but not essential.

Good understanding of Health & Safety.

Full UK Manual Driving Licence required.

Technical Skills

IT systems proficiency.

Problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and efficiently.

Interpersonal Skills

Team player with an enthusiastic, proactive approach.

Strong organizational and prioritization skills, good communication, flexibility, and reliability.
