Mears Group in Wakefield/Darlington is seeking an organised Planner to coordinate and manage inspection and compliance activities across NEYH and Northern Ireland. You will support statutory compliance programmes and ensure timely scheduling and accurate data across multiple regions.
The role reports to the local AASC Programme Manager and requires effective liaison with landlords, contractors, and operational teams to maintain progress, document records, and drive continuous improvement.
Annual salary: up to £36,257.81. Planner Location: Wakefield or Darlington (Office based) Full time / Permanent Salary: £34,125 per annum Hours: 42.5 hours Monday - Friday Mears provides temporary accommodation to asylum seekers whilst their claim is being assessed in three regions: Northeast, Yorkshire and Humber, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. Mears work in partnership with central and local Government, registered providers, tenants, landlords and investors to find solutions to homelessness, provide more social and affordable housing and create specialist housing for people with care needs. We are looking for an organised and proactive Planner to join our Compliance team. The Planner will be responsible for coordinating and managing inspection and compliance activities and work management (MCM) across NEYH and Northern Ireland. The role will support the effective delivery of statutory compliance programmes, ensuring inspections are completed within required timescales and that information is accurately recorded, reported, and handed over to operational teams for further action. Reporting to the local AASC Programme Manager, the Planner will support the effective delivery of the compliance programmes by ensuring timely scheduling, efficient workflow, and proactive liaison with stakeholders such as landlords. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance across the property portfolio by supporting effective planning, workflow management, performance reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
