Cover for Almost every Home

We founded Homeprotect on a simple principle - to provide protection to people underserved by the home insurance industry. Since 2002, we've been combining smart technology with real human expertise to protect hundreds of thousands of unique homes across the UK, and we're just getting started.

About Homeprotect

We founded Homeprotect on a simple principle - to provide protection to people underserved by the home insurance industry. Since 2002, we've been combining smart technology with real human expertise to protect hundreds of thousands of unique homes across the UK, and we're just getting started.

If you're someone who loves solving interesting problems, taking ownership and working with a team that aims high, speaks up and lifts each other, Homeprotect is a place where you can do meaningful work, grow your career and make a real difference for our customers.

What It's Like To Work Here

Our customers come from all walks of life and so do our people. We're a small but perfectly formed team of insurance specialists, technologists, data scientists and customer champions - all bringing individual expertise, an appetite for innovation and a shared ambition to protect the homes and things people love.

We work at pace, but we trust our people to work in a way that brings out their best. You'll collaborate closely across teams, have real ownership from day one and see the impact you have first-hand with flexible working to help you balance the needs of your role with the rhythm of your life.

We've been recognised as a Great Place to Work UK for seven consecutive years - most recently ranked 29th nationally, jumping 71 places in a single year.

Key Responsibilities
  • First Point of Contact: Act as the initial point of contact for Workplace Technology issues across the company, providing timely 1st- and 2nd-line resolution and owning escalations through to closure where required.
  • User Account Management: Manage the identity lifecycle – creating, modifying, and deactivating user accounts across Entra ID and connected systems and applications as per company policies. Administer group and licence assignments, MFA, and conditional access, ensuring security protocols and permissions are appropriately maintained.
  • Joiner, Mover & Leaver (JML) Management: Own the joiner, mover, and leaver lifecycle – provisioning access and equipment for new starters, adjusting access on role changes, and handling departures including timely account disablement, equipment retrieval, and adherence to data security and access-governance requirements.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance, updates, and repairs on laptops, desktops, and other user-related hardware. Troubleshoot hardware issues and coordinate repairs with vendors when needed.
  • Software Support: Assist users with software installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure software licenses are up-to-date and compliant.
  • SaaS & Business Application Provisioning: Administer user access across core SaaS and operational applications, including Salesforce and the claims platform – creating and deprovisioning accounts, assigning roles, profiles and permission sets in line with least-privilege, and coordinating with application owners on access requests, joiner/mover/leaver actions, and periodic access reviews.
  • Endpoint Management: Manage the modern endpoint estate through Microsoft Intune (MEM) – device enrolment and Autopilot provisioning, compliance and configuration policies, and application deployment and patching across Windows devices.
  • Virtual Desktop (VDI) Management: Administer and support the Citrix virtual desktop environment (CVAD / DaaS) – session hosts, published applications, image and profile management (FSLogix), and monitoring of capacity and session performance.
  • Microsoft 365 Administration: Administer the Microsoft 365 tenant, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive – managing licences, service configuration, and user support across the collaboration suite.
  • Network and Connectivity Support: Help users with network connectivity issues, including Wi‑Fi, VPN, and LAN configurations. Troubleshoot and resolve network-related problems.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and inventories related to hardware, software, and user access. Generate reports as required.
  • Collaboration and Training: Collaborate with team members to enhance IT infrastructure and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives. Provide basic IT training to users when necessary.
