Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Workplace Standards Lead for a high-profile site in Barnard Castle. You will perform daily workplace inspections and audits of cleanliness, presentation and delivery against standards, providing live feedback and ensuring corrective actions are completed promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning standards and workplace presentation within facilities management.
• Experience conducting inspections, audits or quality checks and driving corrective actions to completion.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements relevant to cleaning operations including COSHH and GxP environments is advantageous.
• Strong observational, communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to provide clear feedback.
• Commercial awareness to recognise service scope and resources and potential out-of-scope requests.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily presence across the site with inspections and audits to assess cleanliness and presentation against standards.
• Lead live cleaning assessments and provide feedback, ensuring corrective actions are completed promptly.
• Monitor findings and recurring issues, keeping accurate records and escalating persistent concerns appropriately.
• Build relationships with GSK and Mitie stakeholders, supporting meetings, inspections and action closure.
• Drive continuous improvement while considering contract scope, cost, resources and sustainability of solutions.
