Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Reading, UK, seeks a Workplace Manager to lead day-to-day facilities management for the site portfolio and serve as the single point of contact for client stakeholders.

You will drive service delivery, manage on-site teams and partners, oversee budgets and costs, and support workplace projects while ensuring HSE compliance and high performance across the client relationship.

Qualifications

  • Experience of 3–5 years in facilities management or related service environment.
  • Customer service experience with strong communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving ability.
  • Solid understanding of HSE requirements (IOSH or equivalent).
  • Strong commercial understanding and budget control experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the day-to-day delivery of Workplace and Facilities Management services across the site portfolio.
  • Providing leadership and direction to on-site teams and service partners, promoting accountability, collaboration and high performance.
  • Building strong relationships with client stakeholders and acting as the primary point of contact for operational matters, escalations and service improvements. Managing supplier performance, service delivery standards, KPIs, audits and corrective actions.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for local stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of issues, escalations and service requests.
  • Driving operational excellence through regular service reviews, action plan management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Managing site budgets, forecasting and cost control activities in line with account targets.
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of workplace projects, moves, changes and refurbishment activities.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with landlords, contractors and service partners to ensure effective site operations.
  • Leading operational governance, incident management, root cause analysis and business continuity activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with CBRE QHSE requirements, account governance and statutory obligations.
  • Promoting a positive workplace experience through proactive stakeholder engagement and service enhancement initiatives.

Job description

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Workplace Manager for one of our clients in the technology sector to join the team located in Reading, UK.

You will build client relationships at a local - Country level through a structured and consistent engagement model as well as act as a Single Point of Contact to manage the client relationship at the consumer level. You will act as the key point of accountability for GWO (Global Workplace Operations) services and solutions from the client’s perspective at all delivery stages as well as act as the internal Client to the GWO Delivery team, the point of escalation and representation for the regional client team.

You'll also be responsible for the following:

Experience Required:
  • Experience of 3 - 5 years in a facilities management/supervisory role or related service environment.
  • Demonstrate experience in dealing with customer service and exhibit key skills within this area.
  • Sound problem-solving ability.
  • Sound understanding of HSE requirements i.e. IOSH
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Experience in contract management and measurement.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Strong commercial understanding - P&L/Budget responsibility up to $3M.
  • Manage up to 5 staff.
  • Possess an FM qualification or equivalent
