Job description

WORKING SITE MANAGER (ELECTRICAL BIAS) NEEDED IN BRISTOL

Key Information:

  • Location: BS35 4DJ
  • Salary: £43,000 - £45,000
  • Contract: Full-time permanent
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Overview:

  • Supervise the day-to-day planning and allocation of technical maintenance resources within their respective regions.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in support of customers and colleagues.
  • Supervise the Planned Maintenance Programme for their sites and deliver reactive services, ensuring compliance with SLAs & KPIs.
  • Oversee and deliver small replacement projects and update Asset Registers accordingly.
  • Train team members, including delivering toolbox talks and team briefs.
  • Check paperwork and service standards completed by the team.
  • Complete reports and paperwork as instructed by the Engineering Manager.
  • Identify and communicate personal training needs to the Engineering Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company requirements, and latest regulations.

Main Duties:

  • Adhere to the company's Health and Safety policy.
  • Ensure compliance with the MITIE Maintenance Quality Management System.
  • Assist the Engineering Manager in meeting statutory and legislative requirements.
  • Follow clients' operational procedures at all times.
  • Obtain necessary authorizations for access to restricted areas.
  • Maintain confidentiality policies of MITIE and the client.
  • Provide technical support to the site Facilities Manager as needed.
  • Assist engineers with estimates for minor works and submit through small work/remedial teams.
  • Be available to provide remote support outside normal hours.
  • Take on an appropriate AP role.
  • Provide hands-on onsite support for reactive, PPM, or compliance tasks.

What we are looking for:

  • Either BS7671 Electrical Regulations, Gas ACOPs, or F-Gas qualifications.
  • Recognition through a trade training scheme.
  • People management skills/experience managing a small team.
  • IOSH Working Safely certification.
  • Customer care and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Professional communication with customers.
