Job Title: Workforce Delivery National Programme Lead

Hours: Full-time, 36 hours

Job Status: Fixed Term to end of March 2026 (secondment opportunities may be available)

Location: Home-based, with expectation of travel nationally where required

Salary: £58,308.29

Skills for Care has an exciting opportunity for two National Programme Leads for Workforce Delivery to lead a team of skilled professionals to support delivery of a portfolio of complex national programmes of work. Examples include programmes to support the Regulated Professional Workforce in adult social care (nursing and social work ASYE), support to develop commissioner capability, lead prevention activities and to support individual employers and personal assistants.

You will be responsible for supporting the Head of Workforce Delivery to ensure effective and efficient programme delivery across a busy team, including leading on evidencing sector impact. You will act in a leadership capacity to provide guidance, support and critical decision making for a team of national leads, including Regulated Professionals. You will utilise your extensive experience of leadership and culture change to support positive, inclusive and strength-based collaborative team working.

The role is national and externally facing with opportunities to represent Skills for Care and the Workforce Delivery team with key sector stakeholders, including Government office and a range of external adult social care partner organisations.

Experience either as a regulated professional or through significant working with Regulated Professionals, ideally within adult social care, is welcomed. One of the roles will be leading senior Regulated Professionals within the team.
