Job summary

Johnson Matthey Plc is seeking a Workday Integration Specialist to design, build and support Workday integrations using Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI and APIs. You will own daily performance, monitoring and issue resolution across HR and finance systems.

You will collaborate with People, Payroll, Finance, IT and external vendors, maintain technical specs and data mappings, and support releases with testing and updates to ensure business continuity.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and supporting Workday integrations using Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI and APIs.
• Ability to test, maintain and troubleshoot integrations across Workday and SaaS/local systems.
• Understanding HR and payroll data processes and data governance.
• Proficiency in XML, JSON and XSLT and translating requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, monitoring and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and experience in Agile environments.

• Owning day-to-day performance, monitoring and support of integrations, resolving issues through root cause analysis and implementing sustainable improvements.
• Partnering with People, Payroll, Finance, IT teams and external vendors to translate business requirements into effective integration solutions and manage testing activities.
• Maintaining integration documentation, data flows, technical specifications and schedules while ensuring compliance with security, governance and data privacy standards.
• Supporting Workday releases by assessing integration impacts, coordinating testing and implementing required updates to ensure business continuity.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance integration reliability, reduce maintenance effort and improve the overall user experience.

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:

• Strong hands‑on experience designing, building and supporting Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI, Workday Web Services and APIs.
• Proven ability to develop, test, maintain and troubleshoot integrations across Workday, SaaS applications and local enterprise systems, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Solid understanding of HR, Payroll and people data processes, with knowledge of data governance, security controls, compliance requirements and integration best practices.
• Proficiency in XML, JSON and XSLT, with experience interpreting technical specifications, working with vendor integrations and translating business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including integration monitoring, root cause analysis, defect resolution and driving long‑term system stability improvements.
• Strong communication skills, with experience working in Agile environments, collaborating with global stakeholders and producing clear technical documentation, data mappings and integration designs.
