Job description

Workday HCM/HRIS Analyst, Workday (Remote, EMEA)

United Kingdom (Remote)

Our People team supports over 1,000 team members in over 50 different countries. Our team is highly technical and thrives on being able to dive into the details, build from scratch, and create structure through chaos. We’re ambitious too. Grafana Labs is scaling rapidly, and we are evolving our team, processes, and support to meet our growing needs.

We’re looking for an exceptional Workday HCM/HRIS Analyst to join our People (HR) Workday team and support our Workday platform, including modules: HCM, Absence, Global Benefits, Talent & Performance, Advanced Compensation, Journeys, Peakon, and Payroll.

This role requires a subject matter expert who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage ambiguity, change, and complexity, and support a global organization. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical attention to detail, strong organizational and project management skills, and a proactive mindset. Some international travel to work co-located with colleagues may be required (subject to current travel restrictions).

Responsibilities:

  • Support system users, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions, leveraging Workday Community/support to resolve complex escalations. Act as the point person for questions and team enablement.
  • Build and maintain custom reports, tools, and analytics to meet team needs, including various reporting types (Advanced, Matrix, Transposed), calculated fields, prompts, and filters.
  • Guide the People team by understanding current processes and timelines, and recommend how to leverage Workday functionality to enhance compliance, streamline processes, and reduce errors.
  • Design and build Workday business processes to ensure efficient workflows for end users.
  • Create change management documentation and training materials to support cross-functional teams on new features.
  • Configure and maintain security roles and permissions to ensure data protection and privacy.
  • Create Inbound EIB templates and perform mass data loads as needed.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of experience configuring and supporting Workday HCM, with experience in modules such as Absence, Compensation, Talent/Performance, Journeys, Peakon, Benefits, and Payroll preferred.
  • Experience in a high-growth startup environment with constant change.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a keen eye for detail, multitasking ability, and follow-through.
  • A customer service-oriented approach, approachable, and recognized as a “go-to” person locally and internationally.
  • Excellent communication skills across all channels, with ability to build strong relationships virtually and in person.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of creating custom reports, using complex formulas, and analyzing data for insights and recommendations.
  • Process-oriented, enjoys creating structure amid ambiguity, and skilled at finding creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of owning administrative tasks through to completion.

The base salary range in the UK is GBP 55,000 - GBP 66,000, with actual compensation depending on experience and skills. Benefits include equity, bonuses (if applicable), and other listed perks.
