Job description

Workday HCM/HRIS Analyst, Workday (Remote, EMEA)

United Kingdom (Remote)

Our People team supports over 1,000 team members in over 50 countries. Our team is highly technical, thrives on detail, and excels at building structure from chaos. Grafana Labs is scaling rapidly, and we are evolving our team, processes, and support offerings to meet this growth.

We seek an exceptional Workday HCM/HRIS Analyst to join our People (HR) Workday team, supporting modules such as: HCM, Absence, Global Benefits, Talent & Performance, Advanced Compensation, Journeys, Peakon, and Payroll.

This role requires thriving in a fast-paced environment, managing ambiguity, change, and complexity, while supporting a global organization. The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert with excellent technical attention to detail, strong organizational and project management skills, and a proactive mindset. Some international travel may be required (subject to current travel restrictions).

Responsibilities:

  • Support system users, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions, leveraging Workday Community/support for complex escalations. Serve as the point person for questions and team enablement.
  • Build and maintain custom reports, tools, and analytics to meet team needs, including various reporting types, calculated fields, prompts, and filters.
  • Guide the People team by understanding current processes and timelines, recommending how to leverage Workday functionality to enhance compliance, streamline processes, and reduce errors.
  • Design and build Workday business processes to ensure efficient workflows for end users.
  • Create change management documentation and training materials for cross-functional teams on new features.
  • Configure and maintain security roles and permissions to ensure data privacy and protection.
  • Create Inbound EIB templates and perform mass data loading as needed.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of experience configuring and supporting Workday HCM, with preferred experience across modules such as Absence, Compensation, Talent/Performance, Journeys, Peakon, Benefits, and Payroll.
  • Experience in a high-growth startup environment with constant change.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent project management abilities.
  • A customer-focused approach, being approachable and a 'go-to' person locally and internationally.
  • Excellent communication skills across all channels, with the ability to build strong relationships virtually and in person.
  • Strong analytical skills, including creating custom reports, complex spreadsheet formulas, and data analysis.
  • Process-oriented with a knack for creating structure amid ambiguity and solving non-obvious problems.
  • Ability to own administrative tasks through to completion with attention to detail.

In the UK, the salary range is GBP 55,000 - GBP 66,000, with actual compensation depending on experience and skills. Benefits include equity, bonuses, and other listed perks.
