Job summary

Kainos is seeking a Workday Financial Reporting and Accounting Lead to implement and configure enterprise-scale Workday solutions for our global customer base. You will lead a project workstream, build relationships with customers, shape and deliver solutions, mentor junior team members, and drive transformation through reports and analytics.

Qualifications

  • Certification in Financial Accounting is required.
  • Proven Workday Advanced Reporting, Matrix, and Composite Reporting experience.
  • Strong customer-facing advisory experience in enterprise environments.
  • Understanding of Workday modules (HCM, Payroll, Financials) preferred.
  • Ability to manage projects and multi-region stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites within the region.

Responsibilities

As a Workday Financial Reporting and Accounting Lead, you’ll work in a team to implement and configure enterprise‑scale Workday solutions for our global customer base, typically leading a project workstream. You will build relationships with customers, shaping and delivering solutions that are aligned to their needs, fit for purpose and commercially viable. You’ll provide excellent guidance to customers, understanding their business and requirements. You’ll support more junior members of the team and share your knowledge with them.

You will be responsible for driving customer transformation through the revision and creation of Workday reports and analytical tools based on both customer requirements and our own capability best practices.

You will have experience in the following areas: Advanced, Matrix and Composite Reporting, Dashboards, Discovery Boards, Slides and Worksheets. This role is vital in transforming customers’ Workday data into information that can drive their business decisions.

Qualifications
  • Financial Accounting certification
  • Workday Advanced Reporting certification
  • Workday Advanced, Matrix, and Composite Reporting experience
  • Solid understanding of Workday products (HCM/Payroll/Financials) and specialist capabilities; financials experience preferred
  • Strong customer orientation, with experience in a customer‑interacting, advisory environment
  • Ability to understand customer needs, build relationships and know when to escalates issues
  • Clear and effective communicator, able to communicate with customers and colleagues with credibility and empathy, including in a remote setting
  • Good commercial awareness and sound understanding of project and business dynamics
  • Capable of working within remote teams and alongside customers, and independently on tasks with no supervision
  • Able to plan own workload and meet deadlines
  • Some consulting skills, e.g., presenting, participating in workshops, explaining functionality or solutions to customers
  • Able to apply relevant standards and procedures to maintain high quality, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aware of confidentiality and non‑disclosure policies / agreements and ensures security of information
  • Aware of the Kainos story, wider business offering and company strategy
  • Capable of suggesting enhancements in tools and processes to benefit the practice
  • Willing to learn in depth about relevant subject matter, e.g., international regulatory requirements
  • Able to rotate through various Workday delivery services, specifically Consulting and Application Management Services
  • For Application Management Services, able to deliver work to meet defined Service Level Agreements
  • Able, if required, to travel to customer sites in the same region (minimal out‑of‑region travel may also be required)
Nice to Have
  • Procurement (P2P) and Supplier Accounts certification
  • Experience in post‑deployment services
