Job summary

True Potential LLP seeks a Finance Systems Accountant to own Workday Financials and drive its ongoing development, optimisation and governance. You will act as the functional expert across Finance, Technology and Data, ensuring stability, data quality and value.

You will also shape the Finance Transformation roadmap, exploring automation and AI within the Workday suite and collaborating with IT and Finance teams to deliver impactful improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong Workday Financials experience with configuration, reporting and optimisation.
• Good understanding of P2P, R2R and O2C processes.
• Experience managing system incidents, enhancements and changes in controlled environments.
• Ability to translate finance requirements into practical system solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to balance competing operational and project priorities.
• Experience producing system documentation and user guidance.
• Experience with Workday Prism Analytics and/or Accounting Center.
• Experience with Workday security/access management.
• Exposure to Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Previous line management, coaching or mentoring experience.
• A partially or fully qualified accountancy qualification.
• A project management or business analyst qualification.

Responsibilities

• Act as the functional owner and SME for Workday Financials, including Prism Analytics and Accounting Center.
• Manage system configuration and coordinate testing, UAT and deployments of Workday releases.
• Oversee incidents, requests and enhancements, prioritising effectively.
• Collaborate with Workday and third-party support to progress issues and changes.
• Lead root-cause analysis and preventative improvements.
• Support access management, security reviews and governance requirements.
• Develop Workday reports and dashboards and monitor data quality.
• Work with Dev and MI teams on Workday data requirements in Microsoft Fabric.
• Create system documentation, process maps and training materials.
• Identify opportunities for automation, AI and emerging tech within Workday Finance products.
• Support future finance system implementations.
